Privacy Policy

Docket App ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Docket mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your phone number (used to send a one-time SMS login code via Twilio) and your first name (so cloakroom staff can identify you when returning your items). Both are stored securely in our backend hosted by Supabase.

Payment Information

We use Stripe to process all payments. Docket does not directly collect or store your credit card numbers or Apple Pay / Google Pay credentials — these are entered into Stripe's interface and never reach our servers. We do retain a record of each transaction (the Stripe payment reference, the event, the items cloaked, the amount, and the timestamp) tied to your account so we can display your purchase history in the app.

App Usage Data

We use PostHog to record how you interact with the app — such as screen views, button taps, navigation paths, and timing data. Once you sign in, this data is linked to your account so we can understand how individual user journeys flow through the app and improve the product. This data is never shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Crash and Diagnostic Data

We use Sentry to capture crash reports when the app stops unexpectedly. Crash reports include the error stack trace, app version, and basic device information (such as device model and OS version) but do not include your name, phone number, email, or IP address.

Device Identifiers

Our analytics provider (PostHog) generates an anonymous device-level identifier when you first install the app. After you sign in, this identifier is linked to your account so events from before and after sign-up can be attributed to the same person.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create, manage, and verify your digital cloakroom tickets.
  • To send you login codes (via Twilio) and local collection reminders.
  • To analyze app performance and improve the user experience.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with trusted third-party service providers required to operate the app:

  • Supabase — For secure database hosting and authentication.
  • Twilio — To deliver SMS login codes. Your phone number is shared for this purpose.
  • Stripe— To process payments. Card details are entered into Stripe's interface and never reach Docket's servers.
  • PostHog — For product analytics. Receives an anonymous device identifier, your account identifier after sign-in, and event data describing how you interact with the app.
  • Sentry — For crash reporting. Receives anonymous crash data and basic device information; does not receive your name, phone number, email, or IP address.
  • Event Staff — Cloakroom staff using the Docket Staff app at an event you attend can see your first name and your current tickets solely to facilitate returning your items.

None of these providers use your data for advertising or share it with data brokers.

4. Account Deletion and Data Rights

You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the Docket app at any time by navigating to the Profile tab and selecting "Delete Account." Alternatively, you can email your deletion request to docket.au@gmail.com. You can also request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or request a correction, by emailing docket.au@gmail.com.

5. Children

Docket is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

6. Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when it was most recently revised. Material changes will be communicated within the app.
